On June 3, 2026, the White House issued an executive order implementing Schedule Policy/Career (“P/C”). The E.O. identifies about 8,000 positions that will be transferred from career competitive civil service to Schedule P/C. Individuals moved to Schedule P/C may lose critical employment protections – Due Process and MSPB Appeal rights.
