Before joining the firm, Alex worked at a plaintiff-side employment law firm in Maryland where he represented employees in both the private and public sectors. He also represented professionals with license defense issues. Prior to his time in Maryland, Alex practiced employment and municipal law in Des Moines, Iowa.
EDUCATION
Alex received his J.D. from Drake University Law School in May 2021. While in law school, Alex practiced as a Student-Attorney for Drake’s Refugee Clinic where he provided legal assistance to noncitizens from around the world before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, immigration court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the federal courts. Additionally, Alex clerked at a local law firm, assisting in a broad range of legal issues.
Alex graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Spanish. During his studies at Iowa, Alex interned with the Council for International Visitors to Iowa Cities, where he assisted with planning delegations of foreign visitors to the Iowa City Area.
Alex is a member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association (MWELA).

Alex is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
His application for admission to practice law in the District of Columbia has been submitted; practice is supervised by D.C. Bar Members; practice is limited to matters before federal courts, federal agencies, and District of Columbia agencies.
