Deja Butler is a Legal Assistant with Alden Law Group. In her role, Deja coordinates potential client correspondence and manages client onboarding. She is also involved in administrative and paralegal work across all of the firm's cases.
Prior to joining Alden Law Group, Deja worked as a Legal Assistant / Paralegal at the Legal Aid Society of D.C. Deja gained two years of experience in the Family Law / Domestic Violence Unit and the Immigration Project assisting low-income residents on D.C. legal matters in family, domestic violence, and immigration court.
Deja graduated with honors from Bowie State University in 2019 with a B.A. in English. While in college, she served as President of the Bowie State University chapter of Sigma Tau Delta β International English Honors Society and worked at the Writing Center on campus as a Writing Consultant. She completed a paralegal certificate program at Boston University in 2020.
Deja is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Legal Studies at the American University Washington College of Law.
