Wynter P. Allen

Alden Law Group is proud to announce that Wynter P Allen became a Partner on January 1, 2016.  She has been practicing law with the Alden Law Group since March 2010.

Ms. Wynter Allen graduated from the University of Chicago in 2002 with an A.B. in Sociology. Ms. Allen went on to receive her J.D. from Wake Forest University in 2006. During her time at Wake Forest , Ms. Allen was on the Staff of the Wake Forest Intellectual Property Law Journal. Ms. Allen also received the Peggy Browning Fellowship and clerked with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in 2005. In 2006, Ms. Allen started her law career as Staff Attorney for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (“IBT”). Ms. Allen was a Staff Attorney with the IBT until May of 2010. Ms. Allen received the 2009-2010 American Bar Association Labor and Employment Fellowship with the Committee on the Development of the Law under the National Labor Relations Act (“DLL”). Ms. Allen presented at the American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law’s Employment Rights and Responsibilities Midwinter Conference in 2010. Ms. Allen moderated a panel at the American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law’s DLL 2010 midwinter meeting. Ms. Allen also co-authored the article “The Development of Employment Rights and Responsibilities from 1985 to 2010” published in the Spring 2010 ABA Journal of Labor & Employment Law.

Ms. Allen volunteers throughout the Washington , D.C. area. Ms. Allen has volunteered with Suited for Change, Capital Partners for Education and sat on the Board of Directors for the organization For Love of Children (“FLOC”) from 2008-2010. Ms. Allen was rewarded with Mayor Fenty’s Community Service Award in 2009. Ms. Allen also volunteers with the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program.

Ms. Allen is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia and of the Greater Washington Area Chapter Women’s Lawyer Division of the National Bar Association (“GWAC”). Ms. Allen serves as GWAC’s Chair of the Judicial and Executive Appointment Committee.  Ms. Allen has been a member of the New York Bar since 2007, and is also a member of the DC Bar.
